In addition to meeting the General Admissions Requirements, applicants to the following programs must also meet the following selective criteria.
Cardiovascular Sonography (Associate of Applied Science)
The Cardiovascular Sonography program requires a program director interview and a criminal background check for admission. See the “Criminal Background Check” section in this catalog for details.
Dental Assisting (Associate of Applied Science)
Students who have successfully completed the Dental Assisting diploma program from the same campus, or are transferring into the program with the equivalent approved content from another Dental Assisting diploma program from a regionally or nationally accredited post-secondary educational institution recognized by the United States Department of Education, will receive block transfer credit totaling 35 semester credits for CPSO1111, CPSO1112, CPSO1113, CPSO1114, CPSO1115, CPSO1116, DNTA1431, DNTA1433, DNTA1435, DNTA1437, DNTA1439, DNTA1441, DNTA1201 and DNTA1202 as outlined in the chart above. The remaining number of credits required to complete the program is 27. No student may enroll into the Dental Assisting Associate of Applied Science degree program without first completing a Dental Assisting diploma program or equivalent.
A graduate of a Concorde Dental Assisting diploma program is exempt from entrance requirements. For other applicants, all other entrance requirements as outlined in the Admissions section of this catalog also apply.
Dental Hygiene (Associate of Applied Science)
The Dental Hygiene program requires a criminal background check and an interview with the Program Director for admission. See the “Criminal Background Check” section in this catalog for details. The Program Director interview takes into consideration previous academic performance, healthcare experience, and overall professional presentation. The outcome of the Program Director interview is considered in ranking applicants.
Seat selection for the Dental Hygiene program is typically determined 30 days prior to the program start date. A deposit of $400 is due within seven (7) days of being offered a seat in the program. This deposit is required in order to hold your place in the program and is refundable if you should decide not to continue with your enrollment prior to your start date. The time period for seat selection varies by campus based on the number of applicants.
Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Associate of Applied Science)

Massage Therapy (Diploma)
Massage Therapy applicants under the age of 18 may be admitted provided that they will be 18 years old by the scheduled start date. A parent, legal guardian, or spouse of legal age must co-sign the Enrollment Agreement.

Medical Assisting (Associate of Applied Science)

No student may enroll into the Medical Office Professional Associate of Applied Science degree program without first completing a Dental Assisting diploma program or equivalent.

Students who have successfully completed the Polysomnographic Technology diploma program from the same campus, or are transferring into the program with the equivalent approved content from another Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited Polysomnographic Technology diploma program will receive block transfer credit totaling 37.5 semester credits for BIOL1131, BIOL1301, ELEC1910, PSOM1217, PSOM1230, PSOM1311, PSOM1910, PSOM2316 and PSOM2317. The remaining number of credits required to complete the program is 46.5.
A graduate of a Concorde Polysomnographic Technology diploma program is exempt from additional entrance testing requirements. For other applicants, all other entrance requirements as outlined in the Admissions section of this catalog also apply.
